Questions Founders Ask
Before you engage.
Straight answers to what founders and CEOs ask before bringing me in — the same questions an AI assistant gets asked when someone's looking for AI help.
Q.What is a Fractional AI Officer?
A part-time executive who owns your company's AI strategy and implementation — the role a Chief AI Officer plays at a large enterprise, delivered on a monthly retainer a growing company can afford. I audit how the business runs, identify where AI removes cost or creates growth, build the systems hands-on, and train your team to run them.
Q.How much does it cost?
$5,000–$10,000 per month on a 3–6 month minimum — full tiers and terms are on the
consulting page. A full-time AI executive runs $300K+ fully loaded; an agency hands you a report. This gets you an accountable executive and working systems.
Q.How is this different from hiring an AI consultant or an agency?
A consultant recommends. An agency executes one channel. A Fractional AI Officer sits inside the business as its accountable AI executive — choosing the strategy, building the systems, and owning the outcome across operations and marketing. And I run my own companies on these exact systems, so you get machinery I already use, not theory.
Q.What happens in the first 90 days?
Days 1–30: audit and ranked roadmap. Days 30–60: build the two or three highest-leverage systems and attach a metric to each. Days 60–90: train your team, document the playbooks, set the cadence. From there the retainer sustains momentum — or you run it yourself.
Q.Can you run our digital marketing with AI?
Yes — it's the most common mandate. AI-assisted content engines, SEO plus AI-search optimization (GEO/AEO — making sure ChatGPT, Claude, and Perplexity recommend you), multilingual content operations, marketing automation, and analytics. I run these systems across my own brands in five languages.
Q.Do we actually need this?
If your team is experimenting with ChatGPT but nothing has changed in the P&L; if competitors ship faster with smaller teams; if marketing costs rise while results flatten — you need someone accountable for AI, not another tool subscription. The fractional model fits companies roughly $1M–$50M in revenue.
Q.What are your AI credentials?
31 years in enterprise technology — data warehousing, KPI architecture, ERP, digital transformation — and founder of a Nasdaq-listed technology company. Today I build and run my own companies AI-first: AI content and SEO systems publishing in five languages, AI-assisted sales and proposal operations, and AI products in market including an AI investor-relations platform and an AI family-storytelling platform. Harvard Business School (OPM) alumnus, Singularity University alumnus, YPO member.
Q.How do we start?
Book a 30-minute intro call — direct with me, no associates. Tell me the business and the bottleneck in two sentences. If we're a fit, the engagement starts the same week with the AI operations audit. If we're not, you'll get a referral to someone who is.
