Advisory and consulting services described on this page are sold and billed by Kang Family LLC (doing business as Tejune Kang Advisory), the operating entity for tejunekang.com. Every engagement starts with a written scope and price — you'll never be charged without a signed agreement.

1. What I Offer

Three kinds of work, drawn from 25+ years founding, scaling, and taking a technology company public:

  • Strategic advisory retainers — ongoing counsel for CEOs and founders: strategy, fundraising posture, go-to-market, organizational design, and hard calls under pressure.
  • Project consulting — defined-scope engagements such as market entry, turnaround planning, digital transformation, M&A readiness, or board/investor preparation. Fixed fee, agreed up front.
  • Fractional executive & board roles — fractional CEO/COO work, board directorship, and turnaround leadership. Selective, typically by referral.

2. Engagement Tiers & Pricing

Stated plainly so you can decide before we ever get on a call:

  • Standard Retainer — $5,000–$10,000/month (3-month minimum). Two scheduled 60-minute calls per month plus async access. Direct to me — no associates. Best for founders and early-stage CEOs.
  • Inner Circle Retainer — $10,000–$20,000/month (6-month minimum). Weekly call, unlimited async access, and a crisis hotline. Best for PE-backed CEOs and public-company preparation. Most common engagement.
  • Fractional / Board — custom (cash and/or equity). Scoped individually.
  • Project consulting — fixed fee by scope, quoted in a written proposal before any commitment.

Exact pricing within each range depends on scope, cadence, and company stage, and is confirmed in writing before the engagement begins.

3. How Engagements Work

  1. Intro conversation — use the contact form to describe your situation. No charge for the intro call.
  2. Written proposal — scope, deliverables, cadence, term, and exact price.
  3. Signed agreement — work begins only after both parties sign.
  4. Delivery — calls, working sessions, and async support per the agreement.

4. Billing & Payment

Invoices are issued by Kang Family LLC and payable by card, ACH, or bank transfer through Stripe, our payment processor. Retainers are billed monthly in advance; project fees are billed per the milestone schedule in the agreement. Your card statement will show TEJUNE KANG ADVISORY (Kang Family LLC). We never store your card details on our own systems.

5. Cancellations & Refunds

Summary (full policy: Refund & Cancellation Policy):

  • Cancel a retainer with 30 days' written notice after the minimum term; you are not billed past the notice period.
  • If work has not begun on a billed period or milestone, that payment is refundable in full.
  • Disputed charges are reviewed within 5 business days — contact us before initiating a chargeback and we'll make it right.
