This policy covers advisory and consulting services purchased through tejunekang.com/consulting and billed by Kang Family LLC. The signed engagement agreement for your specific engagement controls if it differs from this page.
1. What This Covers
Advisory retainers, project consulting fees, and fractional/board engagement fees invoiced by Kang Family LLC and paid by card, ACH, or bank transfer via Stripe. Software products operated by affiliated brands (for example, Heirloom at theheirloom.ai) have their own refund policies published on their own sites.
2. Retainer Cancellation
- You may cancel any retainer with 30 days' written notice after the agreed minimum term (3 months for Standard, 6 months for Inner Circle, unless your agreement says otherwise).
- You will not be billed for any period after the notice period ends.
- Retainers are billed monthly in advance; the month in progress is non-refundable once advisory time has been delivered in that month.
3. Project Fees
- Fixed-fee projects are billed per the milestone schedule in the signed proposal.
- If you cancel before work begins on a billed milestone, that milestone payment is refundable in full.
- Work completed up to the cancellation date is billable at the proposal's stated rates; any unused prepaid balance beyond that is refunded.
4. Refunds
- Eligible refunds are issued to the original payment method within 10 business days of approval.
- If we fail to deliver a scheduled session or deliverable and cannot reschedule within a reasonable window, you may request a pro-rata refund for that period.
5. Billing Disputes
